      Gun friendly alternative for YouTube?

But Youtube already has so many firearms and gun videos. My favorite firearms streamer is hickok45.

yes that's what I've heard as well, it's getting very difficult for pro-gun channels these days.

If you gents want to see some other stuff, or just get a more diverse range of topics, two good places are FloatPlane.com and Utreon.com
Floatplane is run by a Canadian group, headed by a mostly tech reviewer guy. Its main thing is that its crowd funded, as in, pay-to-watch. The base fee covers just watching ad free, with a set portion going to the creator. Its good if you know of a channel that you want to watch specifically. I watch ForgottenWeapons over there, but again, pay per month.

Utreon is trying to be a better youtube competitor. they are still in development, but are actively looking at how to advertise on content that is not normal for youtube. For example, if you had a channel that did hand-loading, they would try to sell bownell's ads on it. They have some good backers. They also have a reasonable system for moderation, which gets rid of the problem of some of the other platforms (no mod is not an option, because no one wants a nazi infestation) They are still working on it, but it looks like it might be a jury system where multiple users and creators get asked to review a flagged video. Anyone can flag, but everyone gets a "rating" so if you flag a bunch of stuff and no one agrees with you, then your rating goes down, and you don't get jury duty. If you do flag stuff and are often agreed with, then your flags get higher priority. There is an appeal system, but their rules are pretty clear cut, so it should be easy enough to follow.

At the end of the day, its two methods to solve the same problem, who's gonna pay, and who's going to decide the rules. Its tough with international law being what it is, but they are so far two pretty gun-friendly platforms.
