Hi all, here's my first knife finished for 2021. It's a small kitchen utility/parer in Nitro-V and pink G10.

I did the pink at the customer's request, and I honestly didn't expect to like it, but I do! It came out much more pastel than I expected and it's actually quite a nice colour.

The etching on this one was done by applying cricut vinyl to the blade, burning out the lettering with a CNC desktop laser to create a stencil, then electro etching with one of Dar's Metal Markers. Worked a treat!

This is also the first kydex slip I've made for one of my knives. It was a lot easier than I expected, and I'm placing to start including these with my kitchen knives moving forward.

    Feedback is always welcome!

Always a great feeling to finish one isn’t it? I think the colour is pretty good actually, not something I would have chosen but the end result is nice.

with the sheath what have you used to keep it together? Often eyelets are used but I don’t see them so maybe glue or just the folded over sandwich shape is enough?

There's nothing holding this one closed, just the tension of the kydex. It's not intended as a carry sheath, just as a blade protector for storing in a drawer or for transporting it. If I was making it as a proper sheath I'd most likely use the standard kydex rivets.

Thanks Mark! Yeah I've already had a couple of casual enquiries about making more...
