Hi, I'm new (obviously).

I'm actually more into shooting than knives, but figures this would be the best place to find info/get advice on knives as well as find some that I am looking to buy.

You will find there are quite a few shooters here at ABF, plus hang around enough and you will get the knife collecting/making bug!
Plenty of great people and very help advice to found here, feel free to ask any questions, the only stupid question is the one that's never asked.

I've been trying to resist getting too 'deep' into knives until now... I've done reasonably well - don't have too many and the ones I have are just ones I use while hunting/shooting. I don't know just how long until I'm up to my eyeballs in them though.
