    Hello all,

After a course at Tharwa about a year ago I finally finished building my first forge.
Bought a burner and fired it up today.

I was advised to join this forum, and am impressed with what I've seen so far.

I am a trade chef based in Sydney & working at sea. As such, interest is mainly geared towards making kitchen knives.

Any tips or tricks, or anybody near by who'd like to give feedback as I go would be greatly appreciated

    Tim

      Hey mate,

There a quite a few makers in Sydney.

Welcome to the forum. I would have a look at the meet down in Tahmoor next month, it will be a great opportunity to meet the local knifemakers!

            One knife.
            Two knives.
            The plural possessive is knives'.

If you can make the drive to Canberra, I'd highly recommend it!
Good to be guided by an experienced hand, and to play with the tools I can't afford
