  • Hello all

Hi, my name is Ian and I have been making knives for a few years now. This has been a passion for me since I was a boy and I don't think it will be going away any time soon.
I seem to spend more time making tools and jigs for making knives than knives themselves at the moment, having just completed a hydraulic forging press for pattern welded steel and am in the process of finishing a Hugh McDonald rolling mill.
Today I have just finished my first folding knife, quite a milestone for me and the beginning of something serious!
I wish I had come across this forum years ago as I thought I was nearly alone in Australia in my obsession with knives.
    Anyway cheers everyone
    Ian

Welcome Ian. Nice to have you here. Pull up a chair and grab a beer.

As Alicia said, looking forward to seeing photos of your work - particularly your first folder.
