I'm just coming in from the cold. I have had a long standing interest in knives in general and now have the desire to acquire the skills to make quality knives. The friendly and supportive nature of the forum will be an additional and positive aspect to the overall experience. Thanks for the opportunity.

Hi Buckskin
Welcome to the forum.
If you have had a long standing interest in knives you must already have afew.
How about going to the Gallery and sharing some images of your knives.

Hi Dutchy
Thanks for the welcome. My long standing interest in knives didn't extend to collecting but was more related to admiring photos of makers and a visit to a knife show in Melbourne quite some years ago. Bob Loveless's work captured my attention at the time I first became interested. I bought David Boye's book, also some years ago. I purchased it with the intention of making knives and I am about to start. You can probably tell I don't rush into things!!!
