  • New Member from Sunshine Coast QLD

Hi just thought I'd introduce myself,
My name's Glen I'm on the Sunshine Coast originally from Boston Massachusetts. I have been a knife lover ever since my first which was a 4" Boker Stockman which I still have, it's 22 years old now and still one of my favourite knives to slip in my pocket when I go bush.
Recently, very recently started collecting folders, Spyderco and Strider mainly but will be investing in some knife making materials and grinder in the near future, partly because of the strictness of Australian Customs at the moment, but mostly It's something I've always wanted to do.
Time to put my own skills to the test, and see what I can do. Hopefully I can turn out something worthy of posting here in the near future.

Welcome aboard mate. Next time Stewart does a 'show & tell' I'll ask him to send you an invite.

You might also want to come up to the Gympie Arms & Militaria - it's on the 18-19 June this year at the Gympie Showgrounds and I'll be there on the Saturday if you want to meet over a coffee. There are usually a few of us knifenuts there to pore over the factory and custom bladeware as sometimes the selection is better than the Redbank Show

Thanks for the warm welcome guys.
Show and tell sounds good, any time you can spend with someone that knows more than you is time well spent.
I'll try and get up to Gympie on the Saturday.
