  • Hello from Cairns

    Hi everyone.
I'm Luke and I have had a love of knives, sharpening, machining, modifying and learning about edged objects since I was old enough to cut myself with one.
I have restored and modified many old knives over the years and even had a bit of a go at making a couple. No forging yet although I do have access to a forge as my old man is also a fitter/machinist and loves to dabble in blacksmithing. Well I did turn an old hammer into a tomahawk but it's nothing to write home about.

Did make a skinner or utility knife using stock removal from a blank I got on line. Made a nice handle from she oak and stitched up a nice sheath too. Use it heaps when I go hunting and have found it performs very well. Nothing exotic, just simple old 440C.

Anyway, can't wait to soak it all up and also hopefully find a couple of new lovelies for my very VERY modest collection.

Kind regards and thanks in advance,

    Luke

The plural of knife is knives.
          One knife.
          Two knives.
          The plural possessive is knives'.
