How to edit messages

I keep getting told off my moderators to edit my posts/change from 'wanted' to 'got it!' etc, but I just cant find the option available to do so. When asking moderators for help so that I may comply I am ignored, so I thought I'd ask here. Can anyone help?

Wouldnt you just use the edit function on the bottom left of your post ?

At the top of.the edit page for the original post, there should be a drop down menu where u can change it.

Edit posts/change the title, whatever it takes really. At the bottom of my posts all the options I got is 'Report this post/reply/reply with quote/multi quote this message'

That only happens if a mod closes ur thread normally.

If u are trying to change a wanted thread to a found u generally have to edit the original post. U can't do it any other way.

Bottom of the Original Post click on Edit Post ...



Then top of the Original Post click on the drop down box and change it to what you need to...




I have to be quicker at taking screen shots and writing posts. DD is correct!

Drugdependant is correct. They probably closed off the thread. Can you please provide the URL link to the thread you are talking about?

It goes for everything I do, even here: there is no edit button available to me, regardless of where I post or what thread I've started.

It might be because you are still PINK. Maybe it shows when you become black. The mods will see this thread soon and will help.

Similar process for the Wanted section.

Anyone having trouble editing posts should report it to the Mods. The easist way is throught the Report Post Icon (lower left) which is an exclamation mark in a black triangle. If you don't have that available to you PM a Mod.

Great work Ash! Hopefully Gaj or Ausblade can sort it out for the OP, sounds like a technical glitch somewhere.
