  • New England gangster

Hi everyone, the name's mitch, and I'm from the New England area of nsw.
Got my first blade at the age of 7, been collecting on and off ever since (21 yrs).
My interests are as a collector first and foremost, followed by functional use for work (industrial sales, where I'm occasionally warehousing and dealing with ingoing/outgoing freight. My edc for this end is a crkt folding razel (functional, tuff and non threatening.)
Notwithstanding churn, my current collection includes mainly folders, including victorinox, spyderco, crkt, sog, opinel and emerson. Sharprning is handled with some small stones and steel, and a sharpmaker. reprofiling via a kme system where needed.
Other interests include Japanese import cars, sailing, and metal fabrication. Interested to learn more about metallurgy and is applications in knife making.

Look forward to sharing my knowledge where possible, and learning a thing or two along the way.

              Bang on with that assumption.

I've got a few to show, however some models may be frowned upon, so I might sit tight, get the lay of the land before I show my cards (Don't want to break any guidelines on my third post ; -) )
We are after all dealing with what some may call weapons, I consider them tools of my trade / pastimes... eg you need a single handed opening knife should you capsize a boat and need to fit yourself of the rigging. The law doesn't understand this though, I'm sure we all understand.

Good to know. Mine has pretty solid lockup, only issue is it works itself loose occasionally, nothing a torx bit won't fix. I moved mine, removing the rams horn on the lock side, less thickness and bulk.

imagine that, small world. It was a pretty good guess narrowing the new England area to tamworth.

Not really mate... I could immediately detect the class and intelligence of a Tamworth boy! It stands out like the proverbial dog parts!

Gday Mitch welcome to the Abf. A beautiful area around new England but boy can it get cold through that area. I normally pass through anytime I'm going to Brisbane.

Cheers Hunter, I moved from Newcastle a while back. All getting used to country life.

As for the weather international, it's something you acclimatize to. Good weather for beers and tv this time of the year!
