    Hi folks,

    My name is Onur. I am from Istanbul / Turkey. My main business is about Turkish walnut woods. I enjoy to work this beautiful wood. This is my first message in this precious forum and i hope that we will know each other more here.

                          Welcome to ABF, Omur! I used to have a very old Turkish Mauser rifle (probably brought home from the Gallipoli campaign) with a walnut stock of some kind. My father left it to me. I always wondered why a military rifle had such a nicely figured stock. The steel parts were all German, I think, but the only makings on the stock were Turkish. Sadly, it was stolen several years ago during a break-in.
