  • Gday

    Gday my name is Rupert,
Im on the easternside of Melbourne and i am just starting out making knife's, so far i have built a KMG clone, got an anvil and a few other bits and pieces. I plan on doing a blacksmithing coarse soon as i would like to do my own forging's.
I would like to meet up with other makers in Melbourne if possible and i do have a mate on the other side of Melb that is making knifes and we get together on some camping trips and chat about knifes, and i am working on some folders as i type.
    Cheers

    Welcome!

I believe you are well on your way with the KMG clone and other nice shop tools. Starting out forging blades, in my humble opinion is the most exciting way to begin. Forging hot steel adds just the right amount of primitive inspiration to the mix. This is the avenue I choose and have never been sorry for it.

Best of luck in this venture, Fred

      Welcome to the forum.
Quantum physics is a bit of a passion of mine. It's extraordinary. There's a branch of mathematics that is based on lunacy, and that's wonderful.

                Welcome to ABF

Some fine makers your way. Suggest you hook up with the AKG and develop your knifemaking network thru them

BTW - how the heck can you type and work on a knife at the samet time?
