I didnt know about this part of the forum when I joined sooo Im late but here :P
My name is Karl I use foot simply because its my nickname ...
I got into knives as part of growing up , we lived on a fairly remote farm and killed our own meat sheep and sandstorms was one of the reasons I began looking for better knives .
Not being able to get machetes that would survive under our usage was another .
Im not much of a collector , but I do use knives a fair bit , and I like to make knives , still on that chase for my perfect knife .
