  • hello out there

I just started making knifes about a year ago. Made a grinder from some plans i got from knife dogs in the US. Just finished what i would call my first real knife, the rest have been practice setting up. Im kinda happy with it but the handle didn't come up as well as i had hoped, it's made from purple heart with a brass guard. looking foward to doing better in the future.

      Welcome to the forum.
Quantum physics is a bit of a passion of mine. It's extraordinary. There's a branch of mathematics that is based on lunacy, and that's wonderful.

Welcome Scott. Would love to see pics of both the knife and grinder when you can.
You might want to seal that purpleheart if you havn't already, I've heard it will turn brown if left unsealed.

The Brook knives look very attractive. What steel are you using and what are you sharpening them with?
