  • Hi all

Saying hi to all. Interested in knives (mainly fixed blades) and the odd folder. Also just starting to get into compound bows.

      Welcome to the forum.
Quantum physics is a bit of a passion of mine. It's extraordinary. There's a branch of mathematics that is based on lunacy, and that's wonderful.

G'day mate. I like the username.

I recently came back from a trip to the states. Visited 'outdoor world' in Vegas. Amazing place, but they had many compound bows on sale. Even since then I've entertained the thought of buying one to go bunny busting on a nearby farm with one. I've heard you don't need a licence for a compound bow as it's considered a sporting good (as opposed to, say, a rifle or cross bow). Is that right?

I've been Bowhunting for over 20 years in Qld (compound and recurve)...although I believe this to be totally true nationally...

                For how long though...who knows...

Give it a go mate...you'll love it!

                  thanks guys...

EDC...yeh hanging to get into it. I went and had a look at some compound bows the other day and laughed to myself that anyone could buy these things over the counter, yet you cannot import a folding knife with a 3 inch blade. If I ever get attacked, I pray they come at me with the folder instead of a compound bow with a dirty big hunting arrow!
