    Gday from Alex in Townsville

    Gday everyone, Alex here.

    Just a quick intro for myself, i'm a first year fitter and turner apprentice
    in North Qld, just getting into knife making for a bit of fun and to keep my
    hands busy in my spare time. Part way through my first knife at the moment,
    looking forward to sharing my journey with any interested, and perhaps
    Hassling some of you pros for advice from time to time.

                  This is just from a scrap piece of 316 stainless at work. I tried to make the design as simple as possible to get the ball rolling.



                  Still a lot of work left in it, i'll post more pics as i get things done.

                      Welcome aboard Alex.

                      Get yourself some decent steel to work with. No point investing your time and effort into a mockup. At the very least you will have something that will hold an edge.
