    hey people, howz it going. my first post.

    was a collector of folding pocket knives when I was a kid. now the interest has been rekindled. I have spent all my spare cash on 9 spydercos over the last couple of months. this is a crazy addiction.

    problem now is I want a zt 0561 for $600 a lionsteel for $400,(cek) the list goes on... problem two is I have seen these in usa for a fraction of the price, & knowing that our customs laws have changed, dont see I have any choice but to pay these prices.

    thanks for listening.

    p.s. (help with) have a 910 puma prince with a serial number I dont recognize. 17381. the blade has written;
    910 puma prince, new stainless super keen cutting steel. handmade. germany. nothing on tang.

    any help would be appreciated. cheers. Solomon

    pps. how do I insert photos.

    hey solomon, always good to hear from another knife collector! (especially another spydie fan). Alas, us knife fans in Australia are at the mercy of customs and the few who have some deal going where they can get imports, ive had my eye on a zt 550 but considering the prices and limited availability its pretty hard.

    the 2nd hand market here is pretty good, although its not really common you will see the really popular knives like the zt coming up as everyone is trying to get their hands on them. some websites like cutting edge knives do alright but the prices are still inflated.

        yes, thanks for the welcome.

        the new customs laws are another joke. you can buy a zt0200 in usa for $120. here it is $285. feel like I`m ripping myself off. problem is, cek has a monopoly on the market, so he can charge what he likes. not complaining, (much) as he is running a business & has to make a profit. rant over. thanks for listening.

        cheers solomon

          Welcome mate. Not a spidie fan myself, but I must agree with the ZT prices here in the not so lucky country anymore. I did get a 0300 BNIB of a forum member for a good price and would say that most price their "one careful owner" knives for sale at a fair price. Also CEK's prices on most of their stock are fair when you take into consideration shipping from the states and a profit margin. I've bought a few knives from CEK and his service and coms are very good. But his ZT prices are way out of wack.

              Hey mate, welcome to the forum!

              Looking forward to seeing some pics of your collection.

              As I understand it the serial number indicates that your Puma Prince was made in the first half on 1983.

              Hope this helps...
