    Gidday All,

Been a member for a while now and finally making an intro. It is great to see how people can come together in a forum like this to discuss their passions. My main hobby is making and using bow hunting gear but my kit is incomplete without home brew blades, so I feel I must remedy this matter. I made a bowie style knife from an EH Holden leaf spring about 30 years ago. It was my constant companion but I don't have it any more . I have fashioned many blades and tools by grinding suitable materials but the first bowie was my only attempt at forging and heat treating. Looking forward to reading more of the interesting posts on the forum an wish you all the best in your endeavours.

    Cheers........ Rod

Hi Rod, keen on the bows myself, big trad fan.

Hunting properties are a bit thin around these parts though. And no hunting on crown lands in WA either.
