    Hi Guys,

I have always been interested in blade making. and Ever since i saw the knives made from Chef tatsuki in Australia (either of chinese or japanese decent, i cant remeber now), by an Australian Knife maker, i have been very interested in smithing (not sure if this is the correct term) my own blades and edged tools.

I have been doing some research over the poast few days and man is there a lot of schools of though on working metal, which metals to use, why you dont have to make knives/swords etc the way the japanese do anymore because of the quality of the steel etc.

So i thought, while trying to soak in and process all this info i would join a forum, an Australian forum no less, and try to get some peoples actual experience and opinions on the subjects.

So, hello everyone and i hope to learn as much as i can!!!!
