G'day.
Yes, it's about time I introduce myself. I've been a member for a while but never posted before.
My name is Paul, I am from Mount Nebo in Queensland and spend far too much time in my shed making knives.
I grew up in France where I was inspired by my dad who is a keen collector of edge weapons and my grand dad who grew up in the village of Laguiole. As a kid, I was surrounded by knives, swords, halberds, suits of armours, helmets and axes which were much better than plastic toys!
The first knife I owed was a small opinel that was given to me when I was 6 years old. As I grew up I owed many old Laguiole knives that my grand dad restored.
When he passed away, I found myself without any one to make me knives and started to make my own.
I have now been making knives on and off for about 7 years, but got more serious (obsessed) in the last 3 years.
