Matt from Canberra

Hi all,

Just found this site and loving it! So much info and inspiration.

I'm yet to get started on making blades, just easing into it all (lots of reading to be done here) but will start building my gas forge this week, once that's done I'll build a no-weld grinder and guillotine tool. I think I've sourced a good anvil and some other bits and pieces too.

Hopefully once this is all done ill be off to the knife forging school here and getting started.

I want to mainly work on kitchen knives. I had 10 years in the catering industry and know what I like in a kitchen knife, now I want to see if I can put the ideas into steel.

Looking forward to getting started, asking lots of sensible questions, and getting some posts up of my progress.
