  • G'day ABF

    Greeting ABF,
Bezerker Viking here, I'm interested in custom knife making, leather work & bushcraft.
I want to see where I can get start from and this seems to be a good place for that.

    Hei velkommen
Are we so strange or are we a breed apart.
How is it; that the cold touch of steel, can warm our heart.

              Hi mate and welcome
Your in the right place mate to get started in custom knifemaking.
I have only been making for two years and found this site only this year. The amount of knowledge I have gained from guys on this site has fast tracked my progress 10 fold I reckon.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys and can I just start by quoting a well known & major influence to a lot of custom knife makers, Native American Navajo Indian Custom Knife Maker David Yellowhorse. Once said . . .
There's the same pride in a (customized) knife as in the first one. If pride isn't there, then all the money in the world isn't worth it. We all have the same goal here . . . quality and pride come first, before any dollars.
I know this rings true with Aussie knife makers as from my limited experience with this subject I have come to see them only to happy to help & I hope to learn a lot and put that knowledge into practice to the best of my limited ability.
