  • Hi ABF!

    Hi everyone,

Thought I would make my first post here introducing myself. Firstly its fine to call me CSGSurvival but you can also call me Chazz.
Im into bushcraft, archery, knife making and shooting.

My skills as a knife maker aren't amazing but I would like to think I have surpassed the newbie stage lol. Unless you start talking forging, then Im kind of still a newbie because I have only hand forged 2 knives and personally heat treated three knives. All of which I love too much to test untill breaking point to see where I can improve. So because of this I usually get the knives heat treated by someone else who knows what they are doing.

My work with stainless steels is VERY minimal but I am wanting to start and delve into that world so I can make more rust resistant knives.
Mainly I work with 1075 carbon because it is cheap and allows me to keep the hobby going, but I find it is also very forgiving but also a good performer.

I hope even with my minimal experiance as a knife maker I can contribute to the community as well as learn from it!

    Cheers
    Chazz.

    Welcome to the forum.
Quantum physics is a bit of a passion of mine. It's extraordinary. There's a branch of mathematics that is based on lunacy, and that's wonderful.

The plural of knife is knives.
      One knife.
      Two knives.
      The plural possessive is knives'.
