Yeh I have been reading the forum threads on this. Havent had any issues yet importing stuff. Maybe I have just been lucky? I dont have anything really radical though, I am pretty sure most are ok to own (Striders, more basic CRKTs, SOG). I don't have anything automatic or assisted. When I was a kid I had about 30 butterfly knives (over 20 years ago) and they used to be ok to own. A friend used to bring them back from the philipines all the time and come through baggage search. The only one they ever took was a giant size one with a 12 inch blade. Pretty stupid thing actually but they confiscated that and let him keep all the rest. They used to rust real quick and the bone and brass handles used to fall to bits. They are long at the garbage tip now.
