  • Introduction From Armidale NSW.

My apologies for not making my first post here, somehow I missed seeing this forum!
My name is Le Loup, a name given me by my two Ojibwe/Sioux blood brothers, & it suits me to use this name on forums. I am married & have three sons, & my wife & I live in a forest. I enjoy writing & am a book author of primitive skills and a video author. I am a primitive skills instructor for the New England Colonial Living History Group 1680-1760, which I founded about 20 years ago. I am the only founder still living.
I have a strong interest in wilderness living & long term wilderness survival. My favourite interests/hobbies/lifestyle are 18th century living history and historical trekking. When it comes down to long term survival, I have yet to find any better equipment & skills other than 18th century. You can learn a lot from the settlement of the New World.
I very much enjoy practicing experimental archaeology, and all my videos and my books are based on my personal experience. If you ever get bored with modern camping then I suggest you try 18th century historical trekking. Personally I think it is a lot of fun, and a good way to learn all the skills you need to survive in the wilderness and more besides.
I am very pleased to be here on an Aussie forum, & I look forward to learning & sharing.
    Thank you.
    Regards, Le Loup.

Welcome Le-Loup. It looks like you will have a wealth of knowledge to share.
I'm normally not a praying man, but if you're up there, please save me Superman: Homer J Simpson.

Hiya Le-Loup and Welcome Aboard!

Armidale is a very pretty part of NSW, it has four seasons unlike us seasiders on the Mid North Coast get, including a real Winter, maybe a bit too real for me these days. :?
