Hi All, I used to hang out a lot on the USA knife forums, EDC forum, (I helped in the design of their first LTD ED spyderco with the GID handle). Also hung out on Bladeforums, and if I felt daring Jerzee Devil. Problem was there wasn't an aussie one! This was back in 2009...

I moved in my my partner a year ago, and she said a lot of my collection had to go, so I sold all my spydercos, but got to hang onto 2 knives. My wilson tactical police model, and my Strider SNG spearpoint.

I got back into knives recently and found this place, in fact I also just purchased a Calico Forge knife, pretty much because of this forum. So thanks for showing me what was out there.

My wife used to ask me why I needed all these damned knives. My response was, why do you need all these damned horses? That pretty much settled it.

Problem is she has no real hobbies or collections, me on the other hand. Bicycles, vintage skateboards, luxury watches, taxidermy, knives... God help me.

Lol I just was asked by my girlfriend "why do you need so many knives". Before I saw your post i was thinking do other guys partners get asked the same questions and get the same nagging. Lol

Nah, seems universal. I just realised, girlfriends/wives do have a hobby, nagging boyfriends/husbands.

This made me laugh. All I could think of was trying to open a bag of crisps with a horse :P.

Heres something to boggle. What if your missus gets into the gear. What if she gets into your favorite knives and decides that some of them are hers? Being a good bloke u can't really say no. The ones I most cherish I tell her must remain so minty that one scratch might have its value.

I would almost prefer having someone who did no care. That way I would keep all of them for myself .
