Hi I just joined this forum because I am worried about Australian knife laws and our loss of rights. Closer to the point
our rights to make, own and carry knives.
I am a full time knife maker and sell all of my knives over seas. I just found out about a new federal law that was introduced
in December 2011 which prohibits the import of any knife that can be opened with one hand. I am not talking about autos or assisted
openers. Just any folding knife that has a thumb stud or a hole in the blade which enables you to open it with one hand.
This affects me when I return from overseas knife shows. If I don't sell all my knives and have to bring any back it will be confiscated.
That is to big of a financial loss for me.
Any ideas on the subject?
Anyway happy to meet you all
