There are several different levels of membership on the forum. This guide will tell you what they are and how to go about getting the one you want.
New User (Pink)
This is what you will be until you have made 5 posts on the forum. There are a number of restrictions on what you can do at this level.
Registered User (Black)
You will automatically become one of these once you have made 5 or more posts. The restrictions will be lifted and you'll have full access to most of the forum except for selling in the Exchange.
Forum Supporter (Gold)
This is a paid subscription. You get extra benefits such as more PM space, access to private forums, make your own user title, request to opt out of seeing posts (ads) from the Business Park and more. This also allows you to sell in the Exchange. It costs $20 per year. To get this just go into your settings and look for 'Paid Subscriptions' in the menu on the left. It will take your payment via paypal and automatically upgrade you instantly if the payment goes through.
Knifemaker
If you are a knifemaker and you would like to have your own sub forum here to show and discuss your work and, within forum rules, run it much as you please, you can do this for $25 per year. Look for 'Paid Subscriptions' your settings. After you have completed that send a PM to gajinoz who will then set you up with your sub forum.
Dealer
If you are a business and sell appropriately related products you can have your own sub forum here where you can promote your products in the Business Park. This costs $50 per year. Look for 'Paid Subscriptions' your settings. After you have completed that send a PM to gajinoz who will then set you up with your sub forum.
Manufacturer
This group is for you if you manufacture production or semi production knives or related equipment wholly within Australia. You will have your own sub forum where you can discuss and promote your products. This costs $50 per year. Look for 'Paid Subscriptions' your settings. After you have completed that send a PM to gajinoz who will then set you up with your sub forum.
Australian Knifemakers Guild
If you are a member of the AKG you can have your name in a relaxing green(ish) colour and your user title will tell people your are an AKG member. You will also have access to the AKG private forum. There is no charge for this. Send a PM to gajinoz if you are an AKG member.
